Can a questionnaire really find my fragrance?
Your own preference explains most of whether you like something. The test narrows the catalogue to three. Whether one of them suits you shows when you wear it.
Why should I pay for a recommendation?
Because we are independent, and because it lowers the risk of an expensive mistake. There is no buy link, and no brand pays for a place in your result.
What happens to my answers?
They stay in your browser. Neither name nor address is stored. They enter an anonymous evaluation only if you tick the box.
What if none of the three fits?
Every hit comes with its reasoning. You see which answer brought it forward and can search on from there. If none of the three fits, your second run is free.
Is this a personality test?
No. The test asks about the effect you want and about your preference. Type models are not used, because they do not predict fragrance taste.
Which perfume suits me?
No fragrance belongs to a person the way a shoe size does. There are fragrances that match an effect you want and that match your skin. That is what the test asks about.
How do I know which perfume suits me?
Not from the bottle and not from the advertising. You find out by describing how you want to come across and what you like to smell on yourself. In the end you test three suggestions on your own skin.
Can I search for a perfume by notes?
Yes. Every suggestion names top, heart and base, along with the fragrance family. If you know your notes you see at once why a suggestion is there. If you do not, they are explained.
Which fragrance do women or men find attractive?
There is no general answer, and anyone promising one is selling you a list. What works is what suits you and what you like to smell yourself.
Is there a correct perfume for men?
There is no correct perfume for everyone. The split into men’s and women’s is a matter of retail, not of chemistry. The test works without that box.
What is the difference between eau de toilette and eau de parfum?
The share of fragrance oil. Eau de toilette has the lowest, eau de parfum a higher one, an extrait the highest. More oil usually means longer wear. Fixed percentage limits are not laid down in law.
How do I find a fragrance hardly anyone else wears?
The first test does not ask for that yet. But every hit shows which house it comes from and from which year, so you can spot the smaller houses.
Why do you not ask about occasion and season?
Because no source states them. Neither retail nor manufacturers say which occasion a fragrance suits. Only what the source records is scored: family, top, heart and base notes, year, price.
How long does it take to get the result?
Your result is there at the end of the run, so after 5 to 20 minutes. There is no waiting time and no sending samples back.
